Oscar Santiago was born in New York and raised in Puerto Rico.  At the age nine years old, he started attending the “Escuela Libre de Musica” and the Conservatory of Music, both highly accredited music schools in Puerto Rico.

He started his professional career while attending high school by playing in various bands with independent artists. While playing with the Latin Hard Rock/Metal Bands “Puya”, “Ankla, and Ill Niño, he later migrated to Los Angeles and lived there for over 15 years, where he also managed Guitar Center/Hollywood, and was an artist relations assistant.

He was also a drummer/percussionist for ORTIZ, KXM, and “De La Tierra” Recording Artist. He has collaborated with Dave Lombardo and Thomas Lang. He has been an ambassador of Latin Metal Drumming for over 25 years.

Oscar has played with pop artists such as EDNITA NAZARIO, CRISTIAN DANIEL, TOMMY TORRES, YANDEL, PLAN-B, MC CEJA, DJ NELSON.  He has also played with Latin Grammy Nominees such as DE LA GHETTO, PEDRO CAPO, KXM recording artist.

Oscar has recorded two albums with the iconic lineup of Ray Luzier ( KORN ), George Lynch ( Dokken, Lynch Mob ), Dug Pinnick ( KINGS X ) and has performed with master percussionists, Giovanni Hidalgo, Anthony Carrillo and Angel Cachete Maldonado from AfroCaribbean super group “Batacumbele”.

He is currently working and touring with the Cuban/American Artist and performer, Geissie.
